Today is the day.....
That the music died. Buddy Holly, Richie Havens, and JP Richardson (aka "the Big Bopper") were all lost in a field outside Clear Lake, Iowa on Febuary 3, 1959.
RIP......

And here, Tommy Allsup of the Crickets tells the real story of the now infamous "coin toss" that put Ritchie Valens on the plane instead of him. You know, I'd always heard too that it was Waylon Jennings who tossed the coin......

What a sad day. Wow, it's been 51 years.
 I had heard of Waylon doing the coin toss and all but hearing it from Tommy Allsup, from the guy who actually flipped it was awesome and erry. In the same building and everything where the flip was done. Good post SK!!!!
